Fun and Games for Chocolate Lovers

Our client, Carrefour, on behalf of Mars Wrigley, asked us to come up with some innovative and fun ways to display information and products in their brand-new Dubai Fun Factory whilst also getting visitors excited by creating engaging interactive experiences.

We created four unique installations, and our technical team travelled to Dubai to install all of the technology and help oversee the grand opening.

Installation #1:

We used flip-dot displays to showcase the client’s messaging in a unique way. These displays show one letter or word at a time, capturing the shopper’s attention with the movement of the dots. The flip-dot displays were installed onto the “brain” of the factory to bring occasions to life. Visitors can read daily or monthly messages such as “Ramadan is sweeter with chocolate” and “Happy World Chocolate Day”. Additionally, we displayed a daily factory status that shows the number of products produced each day.

Installation #2:

We designed a simulated dual X-Ray animation, which was displayed on a video screen built into a panel on the ceiling of the factory’s pipes. This gave visitors the impression that they were looking through an X-ray scanner and could observe several Mars/Wrigley products, including sweets and chocolates, moving down the tubes in the factory.

Installation #3:

In order to promote new product lines and attract more shoppers to the store, we created several 3D animations of different Mars products, including M&Ms and chocolate bars. These animations were placed into a Holobox, which gave them a holographic effect and made it appear as if the chocolates were floating and rotating in the air.

Installation #4:

We set up some interactive games on the floor of the store’s aisles. Shoppers could take a quick break and have fun playing them. The client requested us to use their product branding in a few floor projection games such as Balloon Pop, Soccer, and Ball Pit. We were able to incorporate the branding smoothly into the games.

The grand opening was a massive success; shoppers were delighted with the overall production and creativity of Team Go2. They stated that our technical solution was one of the best-quality installations that they had ever seen.
