BMW celebrated 50 years of BMW M with a “WE ARE M” campaign that included a 3D Digital Out of Home (DOOH) advertisement. The fast-paced 20-second ad showcased two BMW vehicles driving and popping out of the billboard by using a Forced Perspective illusion achieved by implementing 3D modelling techniques to create a 3D volumetric space behind the LED screen, giving the impression of shipyards in the distance.
The final result was an eye-catching ad that was the first of its kind on Astral Media’s Yonge & Dundas DOOH LED curved billboard.
