BCIT is one of BC’s largest post-secondary institutions offering courses and programs in technology, trades, engineering and more. They were sponsors of the 2016 BC Tech Summit – a massive event that showcased some of BC’s best new ideas and developments in tech and wanted a short video that incorporated some of their popular courses in a creative way that they could show to young attendees.
Since the video was targeted at young adults and potential students to BCIT’s programs, the creative had to be fun and hip, while showcasing some key programs and courses offered at BCIT. We chose to use mixed media – motion graphics and a whiteboard style to tell the client’s story.
We decided to take the viewer on a journey of a creative designer – in this case, a game developer – and showcase all the different skills needed in the creative industry and how BCIT could teach you every one of those skills.
With a strong storyline, we were able to produce a wonderfully engaging 2-minute video that was memorable and entertaining and BCIT were extremely happy with the results. An animated video can be extremely versatile – it can be humorous, informative, include a call to action and have instructions. Using motion graphics we were able to build our narrative around the message and use interesting visuals and metaphors to communicate the story.
2D animation creates invigorating content and with 80% of viewers recalling a video for up to 30 days, don’t miss out on this must-have marketing tool. Contact us to find out how we can help you with your video content needs.
