Here is the latest Shaw Tuftex commercial venture with Disney, bringing Disney characters into your home and onto your floors with carpet designs based on your favourite animated Disney Characters.
Using actual in film footage acquired from Disney, we integrated shots and elements into the spot. Once again the spot was being approved by Disney so all the visual elements and effects had to adhere to their guidelines.
In addition to all the motion graphics and compositing we had to create for the spot, we also created the intro 3D animation of the suburban neighbourhood with Tinkerbell fairy dust travelling through the streets from house to house.
All music was custom built in-house by Go 2 to match the feel of the clips being presented. The spot was built in HD for cinema distribution across the US and also for many cable TV networks.

New Zealand Career College wanted a complete rebranding. After researching their organization and discussing their requirements and future plans, Go 2 Productions, Inc. began by redesigning their logo with a video concept in mind at the same time.
The end shot on this video shows how we evolved the logo to successfully portray all we wanted. The two Cs are positioned in a way which demonstrates strength in the partnership between the college and its students, each C is supporting the other while at the same time the slightly skewed angle suggests forward motion. The horizontal line represents the horizon in the distance or near future. The colour blue represents trust and is seen as dependable and committed, while the colour orange stimulates activity and socialization.
The design will also translate well into many forms of media such as, Web, Print, Video and even Sculpture. We also supplied a vector variation of the same design that could be used for letterheads, embroidery and other college branded material.
The video concept was all about a journey, first taking the viewer through many recognizable images of New Zealand, such as the cities harbour skyline, maori textures and shapes, flora and fauna. We then move on to images of past students and eventually onto the branding of the two Cs that join together over New Zealand.
With the use of smooth transitions, a warm colour palette and a tranquil music bed, we take the viewer by the hand as we lead them through the journey, that is New Zealand Career College.

VISS IPL technology prevents hair growth so you can enjoy beautiful smooth skin everyday. It is designed for safe and easy use in the comfort of your own home.
For this project we wanted to keep the colours to a minimum to give a very clean look, the colour palette we went with was skin tone and green against the washed out white furniture, rug and background. With a minimal set dec consisting of just a rug, a chez lounge and some calla lilies, we had our model pose for the beauty shots in the video. The product shots were built and animated in 3D so we could control the level of HDRI reflections you see in its surface. Presenting the product in 3D is much more effective than photography as we can control everything from surface and environment condition to reflections and even lighting, this way we really can make the product look better than real life.
Swirling motion graphics were added to the scenes to compliment the colour scheme and enhance the overall production.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Canada) is a charitable, grassroots organization that is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of this violent crime. At the heart of MADD Canada are volunteers who include not only mothers, but fathers, friends, business professionals, experts in the anti-impaired driving field and concerned citizens who want to make a difference in the fight against impaired driving. Their aim is to offer support services to victims, heighten awareness about the dangers of impaired driving by alcohol or drugs, and to save lives and prevent injuries on our roads. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs is a terrible crime that touches all of our lives and it is an irresponsible, dangerous and intolerable act.
MADD came to us wanting something very different for their Impaired Is Impaired campaign, something that would stand out and be memorable to young drivers. We went through several different concepts in house, but the concept we eventually decided to pitch to MADD was approved with much enthusiasm.
The concept was simple. Show a car accident on a lonely road and highlight evidence of the driver being impaired by weed. The execution, however, was going to be challenging, as we wanted to do it in a style similar to Sin City.
The first thing we did after creating the style boards was the intense dramatic soundtrack. This needed to tell the story without using words to get the impact we wanted. The result was a very tense audio track that should be very effective, especially when the commercial airs in cinemas as planned.
Once the style boards were approved we began gathering reference shots for the commercial. The whole background scene was actually photographed half way up Seymour Mountain Road in Vancouver BC, then retouched in Photoshop to produce the heavily stylized look we were going for. We then built the scene again in Cinema 4D and projected the Photoshop file onto the 3D geometry using a camera mapping technique. This now allowed us to move the camera around in the scene with real world texturing, almost like a virtual version of the mountain road we shot.
We used a similar camera projection technique for the body, we recreated the road surface in our studio and shot from the angles we required then projected the shots onto a 3D model of the body in the scene.
Incidentally, the weed props were also made in house from cotton buds, twigs, oregano and lots of glue.
Sit back and turn up the volume for this one... Its very intense.
